Siqariqim or Sicarii means "Dagger-man". Sicarii are hitmen. I thought this title was fitting for Halo and Dagger, especially Halo. Dagger became her apprentice shortly after they escaped the laboratories; amazed by her vast skill and how fiercely she used it, he decided it to learn from her as much as he could. Dagger was named as such by Nyroc after impressing Nyroc with his natural skill with the blade. Although Halo and Nyroc are the top two fighters in their group, Halo and Dagger do most of any dirty work when there are pursuers (depending on who is pursuing) because Nyroc is busy leading. Ice is the third best, but she is not fond of dirty work. Nixie is brought sometimes, but only when erasing memories is really needed. Dagger, being one the best acrobatic members next to Halo, is very closely bonded with her. He calls Halo "sis".

I was inspired to draw this piece after watching Ancient Black Ops on the Jewish Siqariqim. During the Roman Empire's occupation of Israel, a small group of highly religious Jews known as the Maccabees, decided to take matters into their own hands, having believed it was G-d's will to fight Rome for the Holy Land. This was after the coming, resurrection and ascension of the Messiah. The Maccabees targeted high-ranking peoples and Roman soldiers, including other Jews who were conspirators with Rome. They didn't just kill people, they also stole. Their guerilla warfare ended at Masada. After their leader was killed, the remaining guerillas fled to Masada along with their wives and children, where they ended up committing mass suicide, due to a lack of frequent income of resources and having been surrounded by Roman soldiers, fresh from Rome. Assassins and organized assassins have been around since like forever and every culture has their fair share of stories (Ninja for example). A perhaps well-known Siqari during the time of Yeshua was Bar-Abbas, known incorrectly as "Barabbas" to Christians. Ironically, it was the Jewish Religious leaders that wanted/expected the Messiah (Yeshua The Son of the Father "Yeshua bar-Abbas") to overturn Rome and have Israel reclaim its former glory, yet that was not His purpose; though Bar-Abbas, the thief assassin who was doing his job as a Sicarii in over throwing Rome with the sword wasn't the one who was crucified as a guilty criminal against Rome. XD ISN'T THAT HILARIOUS?! (bar-Abbas means son of the Father).
